Zonta has been striving to bring awareness and advocacy to Billings, Montana. Zonta members have been working hard in our community to bring about a positive change in the lives of women and girls:
16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence - At the request of the Zonta Club of Billings, the City of Billings officially proclaimed November 25th-December 10th the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence in Billings, MT.
Friendship House - A $5,000 grant has been awarded to Friendship House of Christian Service. Funds support youth enrichment and adult education programs benefiting young girls and mothers.
Passages - Zonta women awarded a $1,200 grant to Passages Women’s Facility to implement a new evidence based cognitive thinking and behavioral program. Also, seven Zonta members are each currently mentoring a Passages pre-release resident.
Awareness - Zonta has been spreading the message of promoting and protecting the human rights of all women and girls through a campaign series that includes bus banners, billboards, and an online presence.
